Lauren is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor and is also a board eligible National Certified Counselor. She is a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the Association for Play Therapy. Lauren specializes in play therapy with children and expressive arts with adolescents and adults. Additionally, she has co-authored a book regarding the use of expressive arts in individual and group therapy.
Lauren has worked as an intern in private practice in Nixa and at The Victim Center in Springfield. She also has experience as a High School and Elementary School Counselor. Lauren works well with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with behavioral issues, internal conflicts, depression, self harm, traumas, abuse, and relationship issues.

At Counseling Solutions my goal is to create and maintain an open, healthy, and supportive relationship with the individuals and families that I will be in contact with. In my work with children and adolescents, I believe it is vital to incorporate the family/and or support system into therapy to increase and maintain positive relationships and outcomes. I believe that every human has the potential to struggle, change, and grow from several experiences throughout their life. As each client is different, I will adapt my counseling style to meet the needs of individual clients.
In every counseling relationship I will strive to offer a safe place for my clients to explore themselves and their struggles. My goal is to be an active listener and nonjudgmental, who shows much empathy and genuine concern for my clients well being. In therapy, I will not try to change or influence another’s behavior based on my beliefs and/or experiences but rather to encourage change based on my client’s beliefs and behaviors. In counseling each client is different, with different beliefs, needs, and emotions; I will adapt my counseling accordingly to provide a relationship that will meet the needs of each client.
Individual & Couples Counseling………$75 per 50 min. session
Play Therapy…………………………….$75 per 50 minute session
Group counseling………………………$20 per 50 minute session

* Insurance is accepted; however, payment at time of service is expected. |
