Amy Chenowith is a licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, and certified harm reduction specialist. She has worked as a counselor in southwest Missouri for over 25 years, specializing in trauma-informed approaches to counseling and crisis intervention with people of all ages and stages of life.

Philosophy and Approach

From depression and anxiety, new or chronic trauma, adjusting to life after a concerning diagnosis, changes in relationships, a crisis at school or work, grieving a loss—there are many reasons people come to counseling. No issues are too small or too big. It is important for you to have a place where you feel safe and heard; where you can say what needs to be said or sit quietly when that’s what you need. And you need a counselor who has the training and experience to provide the interventions that specifically fit you and your situation.

• The Nurtured Heart Approach parenting classes

• QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training (cost of materials only)

• Clinical supervision for PLPCs and counseling interns

Fees

• $110 per 50-minute session

• $125 per 60-minute EMDR session

• $50 Nurtured Heart Approach Training session

• $0 QPR Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training (60-90 minute program)
