Welcome! I am happy you are taking this step to find a therapist and prioritize your own wellbeing and care. I am a provisionally licensed professional counselor working under the supervision of Gen Nelson, LPC, NCC, and committed to providing accessible, stigma-free services. I take a person-centered approach to counseling and am most interested in accompanying others as they navigate challenging adjustments in their life, including loss, traumatic experiences, and changes in their body, such as disability, illness, and chronic pain. I also enjoy helping others traverse tensions, conflicts, and changes in their professional, personal, familial, and intimate relationships.

Within the scope of my training, I enjoy incorporating expressive, somatic, and narrative techniques into my counseling practice; however, I like to adapt to what my client needs and wants including cognitive, behavioral, and psychoeducational approaches to care and capacity-building.

Education & Training

I hold graduate degrees in both Mental Health Counseling and Criminology from Missouri State University where I also earned a graduate certificate in Conflict and Dispute Resolution. I am a certified QPR suicide prevention trainer, as well as a civil and family mediator with training and experience in a variety of restorative practices including victim-offender dialogues, family group conferences, and victim impact panels. In addition to my degrees and certifications, I have specialized training in grief counseling, victim advocacy, burnout recovery, and somatic trauma therapy.
