Dalton Chronister is a counseling intern working towards his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri State University, and is planning to graduate in May of 2026. In 2022, Dalton graduated with a BS from Missouri State University, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. He also previously received an AA in Behavioral Sciences from Ozarks Technical Community College.
Dalton has experience working with individuals seeking counseling for a variety of reasons, including processing trauma, navigating relationship difficulties, and managing symptoms of depression and anxiety. Dalton also has experience working in mental health crisis services, namely, suicide prevention. He also has a strong passion for further understanding social inequity and the ways that this leads to unique hardships for marginalized individuals. Dalton is open to working with adolescents, adults, and couples, and his approach to counseling is primarily existential, with an emphasis on tolerating ambiguity.
I believe that many of our personal struggles arise from anxieties related to the fragile nature of life and our desire to understand our place in this world. I will work collaboratively with you to explore how your beliefs about the world, human nature, and the purpose of your existence influence your daily functioning, as well as how best to proceed with any new insights and effectively cope with whatever life throws at you!
