Jody Douglas

INTERN COUNSELOR

I am a counseling intern working toward a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri State University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drury University and hold a graduate certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am currently practicing under the supervision of Brian C. Vega.

I believe healing begins through authentic connection, curiosity, and compassion. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, supported, and understood as they navigate life’s challenges, relationships, and personal growth.

My Approach

My approach is grounded in helping clients explore meaning, identity, and the experiences that have shaped them.
I am passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals of all ages and approach therapy from a strength-based and trauma-informed perspective. I value helping clients better understand the different parts of themselves with greater self-compassion and insight, especially when working through the effects of trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or life transitions.
I also work with couples to strengthen emotional connection, communication, and understanding.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Fees

Fees are based on annual household income:

$0.00 to $50,000 = $20 per session
$50,001 - $100,000 = $30 per session
$100,000 and over = $40 per session
