Josh Horsey

INTERN COUNSELOR

My name is Josh Horsey, I am working towards my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri State University, and am planning to graduate Spring 2026. In 2023 I graduated from Missouri State with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. I have experience working with adults in the Center City Clinic, and experience working with kids at the Springfield Dream Center. Social justice is something that matters greatly to me, understanding the intersecting factors that result in hardships for marginalized populations is something that I am very passionate about.

My Approach

My approach to counseling is primarily existential with a person-centered foundation. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, understanding that you are the expert on you. Coping with universal experiences like grief and anxiety can feel impossible at times, but I believe that all people have what it takes to achieve meaningful, positive change. I hope to be the guiding hand to help you find success in your journey towards positive change.

$50,001 - $100,000 = $30 per session
$100,000 and over = $40 per session
