MS, LPC, Certified Trauma Specialist

You deserve to feel at peace, and to be able to live your life to its fullest potential. Life can be difficult at times whether you are bearing the burden of a sorrow, navigating a troubled relationship, struggling with difficult feelings/thinking/behavior, considering important decisions, or simply struggling to express your fullest self. I consider it an honor to be able to partner with individuals, couples and families as they navigate the inevitable challenges along each of their life paths and move toward that goal of fulfillment, happiness, and peace.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Trauma Specialist with the National Center for Trauma and Loss in Children. I have over twenty years serving in public education, occupying roles as an elementary teacher, elementary counselor, middle school counselor, district Cognitive Coaching trainer, and Professional Development Specialist. I have coordinated and facilitated grief groups for adults and children having served as Children's Group Coordinator at Lost & Found of the Ozarks Center for Grieving Children for ten years. I have provided trauma informed crisis response counseling services in the Southwest Missouri Region and trained area counselors to serve on the regional Crisis Response Team. As a public school counselor for the Springfield R-XII district, I have served as a district coordinator of crisis response counseling services. I have also worked as a Parent Educator and facilitated parenting/life skills group meetings. Another honor I have had is working as an Adoption Specialist with Catholic Charities.
