MS, PLPC
Olivia Niesen is a PLPC who completed her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Missouri State University (MSU) in December 2023. She is under the supervision of Dr. Lynn Schirk, PhD, NCC, CST, LPC. Olivia received her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics at MSU in May 2020 but changed career paths after graduating during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Olivia is passionate about working with young adults. She specializes in anxiety, mood changes, and maternal mental health.
Goals
Life is hard. We all hit rough patches and we don’t always know where to turn. Whether we are experiencing anxiety, life changes, relationship problems, postpartum mental health changes, or just life happening, we all need someone. I aim to help clients ranging from young adults to those that are in their golden years to find their calm and focus on growth and healing. Through focusing on person-centered individual or couples counseling, my goal is to help you to navigate the rough waters of life, to find peace in the chaos, and to find hope in the heartache. My goal as a counselor is to create an environment that allows you to express who you are without any fear of judgment. I am here for you, to support you, and help you to be the best version of yourself every day. Your emotions, wishes, dreams, experiences, and anything in between are witnessed and validated in this space because everybody deserves it.
